At Breaking Chains, we’re proud to offer many resources that help contribute to our students’ success. Learn more about the services we provide below.
We offer tutoring and a place to study for youth ages 16-18. Once you're ready, we will help you sign up to take your GED/HSE exams on-site or at a local testing center. Simply click the link below to print the registration forms and call to schedule your enrollment!
Education (GED/HSE)
Requirements:
Must be 16-18 years old.
Must have a physical copy of a state-issued ID.
Complete registration forms.
We partner with the Idaho Department of Labor through their Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). Through this program, students can gain the necessary work skills and experience for a resume post-graduation. In addition to this, we partner with various organizations throughout the Treasure Valley to provide learning opportunities for our students.
Work-Skills Training
Our team understands the challenges our youth face. That's why we work to show them how resilient they are in the face of adversity, how to build their strengths and confidence, and support them in overcoming obstacles.
For those enrolled in our education services, we offer monthly field trips as an avenue for expanded learning opportunities. Not only are these experiences personally invaluable to our youth but provides enrichment to further their education.
Mentorship

We take pride in providing our students with two hot meals a day, which can also include feeding their younger siblings and children. In addition to our daily meals, we keep a fully-stocked kitchen and deep freezer for students to take home food as needed.
Feeding Our Future
We've teamed up with the Idaho Diaper Bank by providing a monthly diaper distribution to our students and graduates. This service helps alleviate some of the financial stress that comes with having a young family.
